Not Again!

After having Internet and limited TV back for just less than a month we are losing it, again! This time not because of ourselves but because of ATT. After getting the run around trying to set up the service we received a bill that was 4 times the amount quoted. When I called the man just kept apologizing but would not resolve the bill. So, what else could I do but cancel. I am very disappointed to be honest but "customer no service" as Clark Howard would say caused me to vote with my wallet this time. I gave AT&T a second chance after they mistakenly sent us to collections several years ago. No more chances.  Hopefully we will be able to check it often at the library or somewhere else.

I'm sorry about your service. AT&T is the bane of my existence. They have HORRIBLE customer service and I have had a horrible time getting everything settled in our new house. However, when I called, they said they would resolve it -- we'll see on the next bill.

How frustrating! Have you written a letter? Sometimes I find it helpful to write a letter... and not mail it and then several days write a new letter that is more... decent.
So what do you do for entertainment after the child goes to bed? (Note- if you respond- "Read classic works of literature," I may be forced to stop reading your blog. But only because my brain doesn't process these kinds of things post baby, and I would be ashamed/ jealous if you could.) Maybe you could take the money you've saved this month and buy a region free DVD player and start watching weird BBC stuff. If you really enjoy it, maybe you won't care as much that you don't have cable, since BBC America doesn't have that much to offer anyways.

We could write a letter, but we limp along w/o our own Internet, and the TV is less of a draw with the other online offerings available. Between hulu, LibriVox, and the other websites (the BBC website is rife with media), we even get both brain candy and the classics! There's a whole world of stuff online anymore, and plenty to keep us entertained.
