Foster Care Update 2
With the snowstorm that cancelled the only orientation we could attend we thought maybe it was an answer to our prayers and we should not try Foster to Adopt. But as time has gone on we are asking DHS for another set of dates and we will see if it works. We called a lady at the main office when it was canceled and asked if she could call us back and she never did. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

What A Sport
Landon is a pretty good sport when it comes to letting us take a lot of pictures of him. Here are some of his "candid" photos as of recent.
Aunt Carly helped us get the frog umbrella. He loved the fact that it was rainy today.
A trip to the grocery store proved to be fun when we took the chance to try on all of the fun St. Patrick's Day hats.
I don't know if I can say Jason Mraz eat your heart out, but Landon doesn't look too dang bad in a fedora. Thanks Old Navy.

For The Birds
As I think we noted before Landon is going to a little class at the Zoo. Each week they talk about different kinds of animals. Today Mike took him and they learned about birds. The two boys had LOTS of fun. I am glad the "craft" you see at the bottom is one I don't need to store or throw away right away.
Here is Landon playing in a tub of fake bird feathers. They later got to hold all kinds of eggs and skulls from birds.
Here is our budding artist. He got a kick over how excited I was to see his shirt when he brought it home.

Who Knew Mondays Could Be So Fun?!
This morning we did our usual Macy's 2nd Monday at the Henry Ford. It was about recycling. I have to admit it wasn't as good as it was last March, but at least we got out of the house. Our friend Valerie came with, and as usual Landon loved to run around. We went on a scavenger hunt where he collected recycling themed stickers and listened to the greatest storyteller, Miss Cathy.
As soon as we got back into town we dropped off Valerie and picked up Mike and headed to the Village Toy Shop, where the local Mom's Club had a play date. The things we did were similar to what they do when they host a birthday party. Landon had fun coloring a picture, decorating his own gift bag, playing BINGO, and decorating a plastic treasure (pencil) box. Miss Ellen filled the bags with suckers, a balloon, and more fun things. We left a little early as our cute one's eyes were red and running from being so tired--it was nearly 2:00. So we headed home. What a great Monday this was!

Of course no party would be complete without a cupcake to get all over our face!

A Surprise for the Lucky Kid
I received an email this week saying that Morley/Sanders Candy Co. was having an Easter Preview Party Wednesday Night. They said they had samples and such and so I thought it would be fun for Landon and I go to while Mike was gone to work and... it was so much fun! The samples were amazing! Chocolate covered strawberries, covered cheesecake, cookies, and even hot cocoa. At the end of our sample party Landon was treated to face painting of Elmo and an Elmo balloon. He was in love with his prizes! He was so well behaved and all of the ladies loved him. He even got some good looks when we went to Costco afterwards. He acts so big these days. Telling me he wants to walk through Costco and helping me pick out what pajamas he wants. It is so fun watching him grow up.

Always Up For an Adventure
Landon always willing to go for anything he has never tried. Today we went to a place called Bounce House. Landon had never been to such a thing but boy did he have a blast. 90 min of non stop playing. I am so glad he just goes goes goes. Most of all I am so glad he is not scared of life.
P.S. Sorry they are sideways. One day I will learn how to do this.
