2024, September 9-15

We had fun, and now we're done for the week. We're into the current "normal" of fall and open to positive change.

Our neighbors' Scottie dogs had puppies a few weeks back, and they're just getting a chance to see the outdoors. Eliza, Hallie, and Kai went to visit.

A couple of years back, Mike reactivated his Duolingo account in an attempt to get Landon to use it for his Spanish class. Landon fell off the wagon pretty quickly. Mike, however, soldiered on and is now on a pretty long steak (admittedly with several streak freezes). He got Eliza to join this week in an attempt to get her to improve her math skills. We'll see how long she lasts.

After dropping E at school, Mike went over to the Payson Library to get some work done. A block or so from the library, he found this building with a two-walled mural.

Like her brother, Eliza finds it amusing to take goofy pictures on her parents' phones. Here are a couple.

At BUH, Eliza drew a charcoal sketch of a cow. Moo!

Check out this blep on the kitty!

The field north of our house off 950 W has a bumper crop of pumpkins. They looked so bright and sunny when E and Dad went riding by on Wednesday.

On Thursday as part of a service day, Eliza and other kids from Yates Place helped clean up and lay down mulch at the school.

Here is an update on the new road being built at 1200 W between Devon Glen (550 N) and Center Street. The part closest to Devon Glen even has curbs now. Who can say how long until they break ground connecting all this mess to us a couple of blocks south?
