We celebrated the inauguration of our new president and our anniversary.
Eliza combed out her competition hair, and now it's full of body, like a mane!
On Wednesday, we had a busy, if distracted, day at home watching the presidential inauguration and related events while doing schoolwork. Fergus is blissfully unaware of all things political. To him, happiness being absolutely zonked out on Dad's lap.
Eliza felt drawing arms was much more fun than doing fractions.
Hallie got her hair and nails done this week. She's quite the hotty!
Mike received some fun emblazons (interpretations of his arms) from his online friends. Here we have
Maya the Bee and an Aztec
chīmalli (feather shield, with the help of some Mayan glyphs)
Hallie had a little surgery and is on the mend.
Eliza enjoys taking selfies altogether too much.
She also has a lot of fun riding. She got some new gear this week, and she's excited!
For their anniversary, Mike and Hallie spent the day together dining and shopping and just hanging out together. We ate a delicious meal at Mimi's Cafe and then bought shelves and other storage items at the Container Store.
On the way home, we enjoyed dessert at
The Churro Company near where we lived some two decades ago in Provo. Mike finds it hard to believe he's been gazing into Hallie's lovely eyes for so long. Seems like only yesterday they were relative newlyweds.
The kids entertained themselves with friends and at their grandparents. Eliza even made cookies.
Fergus missed us and was very happy to plop onto Mama's lap once we all finally got home.
Mike installed this functional shelving unit for Hallie in the laundry space.
Eliza likes to use the banister like a slide.
Sometimes she slips rather than slides! Oops.
