2024, November 25-December 1

And just like that, we're into the last month of the year, yet again.

Since the baristas were taking pictures of samples, Hallie decided to wear make up. It was so busy that pictures and samples were never made.

Fergus has gotten used to being an only pet again this week. Kai is due back tonight.

With the new snow, Mike has brought his scissors back out and started cutting paper flakes. His students find them entertaining.

The kitty doesn't like the cold weather, but he does like to see what's outside. Landon has taken to staying up late for Thanksgiving break, and Fergus has taken to keeping the boy company.

Hallie may have a drinking problem, or at least a drinking vessel problem. It is in no way tied to her work, not at all. Nope, not at all. Unfortunately, a few cups were missing from this picture.

Here she is with our neighbor on Thanksgiving. Hi, Cristy!

Mike held the fort with the kiddos at home and made a sweet potato casserole that we shared with Gma and Gpa M. for dinner. Check out the pretty centerpiece Marilyn made!

Landon enjoyed using the device Mom brought to make whipped cream just a little too well.

Eliza got a picture on BUH's Instagram feed. People were posting what they were grateful for. It is fun when we see Eliza show up.

One of Hallie's coworkers accidentally burned a sandwich. It sent the ladies into fits of laughter.

Mike and Eliza decorated the downstairs for Christmas. Here's the tree in different lighting conditions. Eliza, stating that the tree looked "cluttered" suggested we not hang all the ornaments we have accumulated. Mike complied, to an extent. Some ornaments just had to go on the tree. We also have too many LEGO winter village sets (and hence have stopped collecting them), so not all of them made the cut to get set on the bookshelves again this year.

We're going to be babysitting some of our neighbors' pets this coming week. Hallie and Eliza got the lowdown on how to help the dog feel safe.

Mike did some doodling on Saturday while prepping for his upcoming interview. The anxiety is real.

Sunday was our monthly Kinder Egg day. Hallie shared a couple with her coworkers, and the eggs had these wall clingers as the prizes inside. The baristas named the dinosaurs Lemon and Lime. It is so fun to hear grown adults get excited about what they might get when they open their eggs.
