Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and other special ladies in our lives! 

Most of our photos were of the girl because Landon and his dad are camera shy. 

Here she is riding Echo on Wednesday. 

This shot is staged. Eliza is actually asleep, and Fergus is pretending.

On Thursday, Eliza rode Echo again. 

A friend from his heraldry group made Mike this fun emblazonment of his arms. 

Eliza convinced Dad to have a campout in the front yard. For whatever reason, he went along with it, knowing he was not going to get any sleep. She had had a hard time getting to sleep on Thursday, and it affected everyone's Friday. Fortunately, it did work out (even though we both came back inside sometime in the wee hours). 

Hallie had the opportunity to officiate at a coworker's wedding. Here she is all dressed up for the event. 

On Saturday, we had our first neighborhood backyard get-together of the season. We had a great turnout for hot dogs and s'mores, and the weather cooperated. 

Eliza and a couple of the next-door neighbor girls managed to get a second night in the tent on Saturday night. This time Mike slept inside (downstairs on the couch), which meant a third bad night's sleep for him. The girls finally wound down after midnight. Then they slept like angels. Eliza snuck into the house at one point and took a picture on Hallie's phone. 

And now we end here on Mother's Day. Thank you again to the wonderful women in our lives who birthed us and who nurture, care, cajole, and otherwise make our lives worth living. We love you!
