2022, September 5-11

We started with a hot Labor Day and ended with hazy but cooler weather.

On Labor Day while Landon completed his last day of work, Mom, Dad, Eliza, and our neighbor Lincoln went to the Festival Latinoamericano in Downtown Provo.

Eliza got a traditional dress.

We enjoyed horchata, nachos, empanadas, and Argentine sandwiches.

. . . all while listening and watching the stage performers.

On their walk Tuesday morning, Mike and Eliza stopped by the sunflowers and bees over by Jaker's.

Eliza got Zeppe's.

Eliza went riding at Guide N Gallop in the heat. Yuck. She had fun barrel racing though.

Here's a candid of Landon at our family therapy session. He looks thrilled, doesn't he?

Speaking of looking thrilled, here is Eliza on her first day of school at Yates' Place. She later reported she enjoyed her day.

Here's Fergus wishing her a fond farewell.

Someone uploaded a few screenshots from the YouTube video the kids made with the Ninja Kidz.

Hallie saw some lights flashing from this mysterious device behind the rear view mirror in her van.

Bleppy Ferg.

On Thursday, Hallie and Eliza spent most of the day in Salt Lake. This meant they did riding in the late afternoon/early evening. It was much more comfortable.

Landon and Mike have started reading a novel as part of Landon's school work. Both kids have ended up doing a lot more of their work online. It has been an interesting experience.

Eliza had school at Yates' Place again on Friday. Here she is in science class.

Mike was in charge of his department's beginning social up in Provo. There was a fair amount of prep for it, and Hallie and Eliza did a bunch of it. At the party, Eliza made a new friend of the daughter of one of Mike's colleagues.

The Bill Harris building in Provo on 300 S and University Ave. got demolished. That whole block is being prepped for new high density housing or something.

Here are some samples of Landon's art for his drawing class.

On Saturday, Springville City hosted its annual Art Festival down at the Civic Center Park.

Landon made his own chili mac. Slowly but surely he's gaining independence skills!

Mom made delicious peach cobbler that we enjoyed bit by bit throughout the afternoon and evening. There are even leftovers for tomorrow!
