Mom got her Disney fix, and Eliza and Dad kept Fergus company at home. We celebrated festivals and traditions of the season too.
Here are Hallie and Amanda getting ready for a week of rides and attractions at Walt Disney World.
Yummy treats were shared by Hallie and Amanda. They thought if they shared they could try one a day.
Mike took Eliza to work over at Drue's, following which they got materials for their ofrendas. They made a bit of a mess.
Hallie thinks she woke up a bit of a mess. The picture doesn't do the hair justice. One side looked like a mohawk.
Tuesday the girls went to Disney's Character Warehouse during the day. The evening was for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Dressing up is encouraged. Back in July Hallie and Amanda bought white slip on shoes that they then painted black to look like saddle shoes. Sure glad it did not rain.
Fergus kept Eliza company during her last week of the school quarter. If you look carefully, you might see (part of) Eliza in this picture too.
Fireworks toward the end of the event made these trees look cool.
In the evening, Mike and Eliza finished up their ofrendas. Eliza had worked on hers during the day.
These birds were in a lot of Walt Disney World, especially if you left food out.
Epcot was having their Food and Wine Festival. Yummy macaron.
Norway had yummy treats to share.
We got pictures online from Montana Magic Photography of Eliza riding from a couple weeks back.
Walking up to work, Mike encountered some of the local herd right outside the education building.
Animal Kingdom had some fun rides. The ladies did a lot that day, including a second trip Epcot and a bit of time at Disney Springs.
In the friendship of life Hallie is Daisy and Amanda is Minnie. So, of course when Hallie ran across Daisy at Epcot, a picture had to be taken.
Eliza wanted to go on a walk with Mike later in the day. What she really meant is that she wanted to show off her bike jumping skills.
Dad wanted E to come get a view from the building next to his. This was her response.
She missed this view.
Gideon's Bakehouse in Disney Springs was a sight to behold: Gigantic cookies and the most amazing cookies and creme cold brew. Amanda and Hallie stood in line just under 30 minutes to get in. Later in the week they saw people getting in line an hour before it opened.
"Good morning, Mike!"
"Good morning, Hallie!"
At Sir Mickey's Shop, pixie dust and a little poem is bestowed upon you. It was perfect. Hallie and Amanda both made wishes.
This view is from the door of the their room at Coronado Springs, the resort that they stayed at in Florida.
Sometimes Hallie does crazy things. Why not squeeze in a cake decorating class right before flying home. Amorette's was amazing!! Look at the fun pastries.
Here are pictures from the class. The set up was beautiful. We would not fail.
Amanda poured on one of three glazes. The whole process of baking the cakes to decorating actually takes 4 days.
Hallie painting a Mickey ear.
The finished product. The cakes after decorating were put into legit hat boxes and placed in bags with tissue paper. They finished with enough time to head back to the resort to grab their luggage and head to the airport.
Back in Missoula, in preparation for going out trick-or-treating, Eliza blew out her hair.
Of course, she ended up covering it in her costume.
She went out with riding friends Emma and Atley.
She collected quite the haul.
Sunday Standard Time changeover morning blep from Ferg.
Our family went to the Confluence Center to celebrate Day of the Dead festivities. Mike and Hallie took the bus while Eliza rode her bike.
Great food to warm our bellies on a chilly wet day! We had arepas, tamales, pozole, elote, lomo salado, and pan de muerto, fairly rolling over to the bus to get home (while Eliza rode her bike).
Hallie wanted to capture her love among the brilliant leaves.
We finished the day watching The Book of Life. We forgot so many things that were in this movie. It was a fun watch.
Landon wore his Spider-Man mask and participated in some activities with friends in Spanish Fork.
Katara turned four months old and had her shots. Time flies!
