We're keeping it hot while staying cool.
Eliza had yoga at BUH on Monday. Eliza is pictured here with Aspen. Aspen is an amazing participant at BUH, and we are grateful for great friends Eliza has made at BUH.
Mike got a better picture of the swallow at the therapist's.
We got a late pic of E at BUH, a little barrel practice on Sundance.
Tuesday was a fairly busy day for Hallie and the kids with different activities. Landon got his eyes checked. He had to go back Wednesday and have his eyes dilated. Now all four of us are four-eyed. Can you tell how excited he is to be doing this whole process? Hallie had so much fun. Not really.
Eliza participated in an event at BUH Alpine. The women who came and spoke were from the Utah Cowgirl Collective. Because she was willing to play at being a calf and get roped, she got to ride one of the horses. Doesn't she look natural? Takes a lot of practice to make it look so effortless.
The garden continues bearing fruit.
Here is Stronk Landon on the horizontal ladder in the front yard.
Mike also got a nice view of the fields to our west looking south to Mt. Loafer and Mt. Nebo on his ride Tuesday evening. For whatever reason, the irrigation ditches are running high, and not with runoff.
Eliza enjoys her cuddle buddy.
Here's the turnout from Eliza's event yesterday.
Mike attended a work conference on Wednesday up in Salt Lake. He's gotten to know enough about finance in the last three weeks for the Dunning-Kruger Effect to kick in in earnest.
We heard sirens in earnest in the evening, and Hallie caught this picture of a (house?) fire off the freeway.
Here's Eliza doing embroidery at BUH Mapleton.
Thursday was a long day, especially for Landon, who went to work early and got done some twelve hours later.
It's nice to be able to enjoy the light into late in the day. Eliza played with Kai and Charlie.
Here is some of the harvest from Gma and Gpa M's garden, our garden, and our CSA. Landon is not a fan of zucchini so we have offered it to the neighbors.
On Friday, our neighbor Kydee colored Eliza's hair.
Here's the finished result. She likes the creative vibe it gives.
We got a breeze Friday afternoon. Time to chill out and fly a kite before the heat really dials up.
Eliza got not only one but two nights in the tent this week. She brought her mattress down for Dad to sleep on, and Dad really appreciated getting the relatively better sleep it brought compared to sleeping on a ground pad.
On a few days this week, Hallie (sometimes joined by others of us) went up to Gma and Gpa M's to make sure the yard and garden didn't die while the grands were on a trip up north.
On Saturday, the four of us watched 67 Cinderellas put on by Springville Playhouse at Springville High, where a couple of our neighbors performed.
Mike woke up early Sunday morning to Fergus crying for attention. Gee, thanks.
Eliza went with Kohar and her kids to The Rush Funplex, and then Hallie joined them when they all went to Michael's for its creative craft.
We ended the week with our s'mores night in the driveway. We are grateful for the stalwarts who come each week.
