2022, February 7-13 (900th post!!)

We spent part of the week celebrating a birthday and part of the week apart. Also, this is our 900th post since we started way back in October 2004!

Eliza got to ride Juneau three (yes, three!) days this week. Plus she even got some outdoor time on Monday. Winter has been too warm and too dry.

Hallie has been asking for an actual desk for her classroom, and on Monday the school delivered!

Fergus sleeps.

More of E on Monday.

For her birthday, Eliza gave some custom sugar cookies to family and friends.

On Tuesday, she and Dad delivered a couple to her teachers on the way to riding practice. Mrs. Daniels gave her a present!

We had a little riding time outside before going back indoors where it was a bit warmer.

Ferg is not much of a fan of one of E's presents.

Our birthday girl opened presents on Wednesday before we all went out to eat.

Landon and Mom went up to Salt Lake to stay overnight so they could catch an early flight out to Texas, and Eliza and Dad held the fort at home.

In Texas, M and L saw a replica of the Munster's house.

Then they went to the Dr. Pepper Museum.

(Shades of a similar image taken some over 17 (!) years ago.)

Meanwhile, Eliza had another glorious riding day.

One morning in Texas, Hallie ran into Dallas' version of Rodeo Drive.

At home, we discovered that Fergus seems to have broken a tooth. As it was the weekend, we have to wait to take him to the vet.

Mom and Landon had some authentic Texas-style BBQ. Luckies!

Eliza received more birthday presents! Lucky!

On Sunday, Hallie went to the Fort Worth Stockyard and saw a cattle drive.

Dad and Eliza went to Grandma and Grandpa M.'s to watch the big game. Note the time remaining clock at the first score (6:22!).

We had tasty grub too. Nom, nom, nom!
